Allow me to introduce myself

2 min readDec 8, 2020

The notion of starting a blog is not alien to me. In fact, I spent many a night in sixth form pondering how cool it would be to have a really successful blog. The expectation being living in New York, casually sipping on a caramel macchiato (whatever that is…) whilst writing really inspiring posts for thousands of readers. Alas, the reality involves a 16 year old me sitting on my bed with my HP that was on the brink of extinction struggling to think of what to write about. Unfortunately A- Levels, learning to drive, nights out and general teenage life got in the way and my blogging days were over before they had even begun.

5 years later, I can officially welcome you to my blog! Granted, if it wasn’t for my latest university assignment, I’d imagine this project would still be at the back of my to-do list, but here we are. You’ll find a complete mix of things here, from journalism-related posts to travel recommendations and restaurant reviews.

Let’s start with a bit about me! My name is Ursula and I’m 21 years old. I’m currently in my final year at Bournemouth University, after deciding to undergo a 12-month marketing internship in London last year. This meant that I got to extend my uni lifestyle for an extra year (yasss) and gain some valuable insight into the social media marketing industry. I’ll be writing a post with more details of my internship sometime soon, so watch out for that!

I love love love travelling and if I could do it as a full-time job I would. My favourite TV series is Schitts Creek (ew, David) and despite my numerous attempts at veganism I’d class myself as a part-time pescatarian with the occasional (weekly) McDonalds binge. I’m a proud London girl, so if you’re interested in discovering food and drink outlets that don’t force you to take out a loan, check out my upcoming reviews!

Thanks for reading and keep an eye out for future posts!

U x
